JAM ACCOMPANIST
JOB DESCRIPTION:
Seeking skilled musicians (guitar, drums, violin, etc) to accompany 45-minute Groove Jams for kids ages 0-3 years old. Candidates will work with Song Leader to learn the music and the flow of the jam. Each jam consists of 10-12 songs/activities including sing-alongs, instrument play, movement, call and response chants and a lullaby. Family favorites and original tunes. We provide set lists, rehearsal tracks, lead sheets and charts for all songs.

WORK DATES/TIMES:
Groove Jams are offered every Monday-Thursday morning and select Saturday/Sundays. Musicians are asked to commit to at least one morning per week (2-3 jams minimum) for the entire season (12-weeks). More opportunities are available. Training starts ASAP.
COMPENSATION:
$30/jam to start. You will also be paid a stipend for training.

- Love working with kids
- Be a skilled and confident musician who works well with others
- Be a quick study.
- Feel at ease around parents and caregivers
- Be ready and willing to share your love of music with others
- Have reliable transportation to/from Groove location.
PREFERRED BUT NOT REQUIRED:
- Experience working with young kids in a school, music class or camp setting
- Ability to learn by music by ear and transpose keys, if needed
- Play additional instruments (ukulele, keyboard, bass, etc)
