Summer 2021 is looking a lot different than last summer! This page is designed to answer some of your questions about parking, masks, make-ups, etc.
Do we need to wear masks to Groove classes?
Groove in the Park: Masks are optional for vaccinated adults/teens Masks are required for unvaccinated adults/teens and kids 3 years and up
Groove Indoor Classes: Masks are required fregardless of vaccination status for adults/teens and kids 3 years+
What happens if it rains or we have extreme heat?
Groove in the Park: In the case of rain or extreme heat, your outdoor class may be moved indoors (depending on class size) or it may be cancelled. In either case, you may opt to schedule a make-up. You will be alerted by text/email that morning.
How do I schedule a make-up?
Full Session Registrants: If you need to miss a class for any reason during the Summer session, please us the Make-up Scheduler to select a make-up class at your convenience. Make-ups do not roll over into the Fall session.
Single Class Registrants: If you need to re-schedule a single class, you must send an email 24 hours in advance. Make-ups will not be issued for no shows. Make-ups do not roll over into the Fall session.
What's the deal with parking? Do I have to pay?
Yes, Larchmont has installed pay stations on streets and in lots that were previously free. However, there are many streets that do NOT require payment for two hour parking. This includes the downhill part of Addison Street (behind Groove) and the CVS parking lot. Please check the signs carefully!
What should I bring to class?
Bring any musical instruments your child enjoys to class! Both indoors and outdoors. We are not yet able to distribute and share small percussion instruments.
Groove in the Park: Please bring sunscreen, water, and a blanket to sit on. You may bring a chair but please be sure the kids can see over you. You can also bring a shade umbrella that can be securely tethered into the ground.
Groove Indoor Classes: Just a reminder to please remove your shoes in our studio. Also, we ask that you park your stroller outside the studio and put all belongings in a cubby so that we can maximize the space for singing and dancing! Food is not allowed in the studio. For safety's sake, hot beverages are strongly discouraged.
Can I bring visiting adult family members to class?
Grandparents, parenting partners, etc. are welcome to come to class assuming they adhere to the mask recommendations. We respectfully request no more than 2 adults (total) attend with a single child.
Can I bring extra siblings to class?
Groove in the Park: Siblings are welcome to visit our class on occasion, but please email in advance! Drop-ins are strongly discouraged. There is a sibling fee of $12.50 which will be billed to your family account.
Groove Indoor Classes: Due to capacity limitations indoors, we may or may not be able to accommodate in a given class. Please reach out in advance to inquire. There is a sibling fee of $12.50 which will be billed to your family account.
