Registration Disclaimer 

When registering through this system, you are agreeing to assume responsibility for your child or children and yourself and/or caregiver when upon the premises operated by Barovick Arts, Inc. d/b/a Groove Performing Arts, and will hold harmless Barovick Arts, Inc. and any of it employees and/or agents in the event of any personal injury, property damage or loss, indemnifying said parties of any loss that you might incur as a result. 

Expectations for Grown-ups

Parents and caregivers set the stage for the class. You are your child’s greatest teacher.  While class is a social as well as musical environment, adult participation is the best model for the children. Out of respect for your teachers and your classmates, keep non-musical conversations to a minimum.  Grown-ups are responsible for the safety and well-being of their children at all times before, during and after class.  Thanks in advance for your cooperation!

Make Ups

All kids registered for any Music for Aardvarks class are entitled to make-up two missed classes per session. Classes can be made-up at any Groove class location.  How to schedule a Make Up:  E-mail info@findgroove.com or call 914-834-3383 to report an absence. We will deposit a “make-up credit” into your family account.  At your convenience, log-in to your family account at findgroove.com and follow the prompts to “Schedule A Make-Up”.   Please note: Make-up credits do not roll over to the next session. We are unable to accommodate walk-in make-ups. If your child has a health-related issue that requires a prolonged absence or if you are expecting a new baby during the session, please give us a call. We will work with you to schedule missed classes.

Inclement Weather

Groove will be closed for inclement weather when schools are closed.  Please check the closing in the district where you class is located!  If schools have a delayed opening, please check your e-mail for information from us regarding your class.  When in doubt, please call Groove at (914) 834-3383 after 7:30AM.  All class cancellations will be listed on our voice mail and on our website.  If a class is cancelled due to weather, a make-up session will be scheduled for later in the session or a free "class pass" will be issued for use on a future date.

Health and Well-being 

To insure the safety, health and well-being of our families, please do not bring sick children, or their sick siblings, to Groove under any circumstances.  We will assist you in scheduling a make-up class at a later date.  Also, we ask that you remove your street shoes before entering our music room.   Non-skid socks or bare feet are permisible and appropriate.  Also, please do not leave any diapers in the studio.  We provide a changing table, disposable changing pads, baby wipes and plastic bags.  We simply request that you take your diaper when you leave the studio

Photography  

On occasion, we photograph and video classes for promotional and archival purposes.  When registering for a class at Groove, you give Barovick Arts, Inc. the right to use your child's image for said purposes. We will never use your child's name, age or other identifying factor.  If you prefer to opt out, please send written notification to the office via e-mail or regular mail. 

Refunds 

Class fees are fully refundable before the first day of class, less a $25 processing fee.  Annual registration fee is non-refundable. After classes have begun, 50% of the class fee will be refunded (less cost of materials and aforementioned fees) for the remaining unattended classes at time of cancellation.  No refunds after two weeks. If you have a health-related issue that may keep you from attending class, please contact the office so we can assist.  

Siblings: Registration, Discounts, VIsitors

Siblings registered in the same class receive a discount upon check-out prior to the session start. Siblings under 10 months may attend class free with a registered sibling/multiple. Please let the office know if you will be bringing a sibling (under 10 months) to class every week.  Please call in advance to schedule a sibling visit ( 2 visits maximum per session, please ). There is a $10 fee for visiting unregistered siblings. Babies under 10 months may visit at no charge.

Trial Classes 

If you are brand new to Groove, you and your child are welcome to attend a single class for a nominal fee.  Single classes are by reservation only and subject to availability. Please contact the office for available dates and times.   From time to time, we may offer a FREE demo to introduce a brand new program.

Extended Family

Additional adult family members are always welcome to attend class.  For visiting siblings, see above.

Privacy Policy 

Groove families who provide information will receive brochures, e-mail reminders, time sensitive announcements and other informational communications pertaining only to Groove and its related programs and services.  Groove Performing Arts protects user information with SSL Certificates to offer secure communications.  All data to and from the site is encrypted.  On occasion, we may offer links to other Web sites. When you click on links to other Web sites, we encourage you to read their privacy policies. Their standards may differ from ours.
